Newsbrief: Abertay University in Dundee is known as one of the United Kingdom's leading universities in the field of video game development, having splashed serious funding into video game studios.

Sony revealed today that it has opened the largest teaching lab of PlayStation consoles in Europe at the university. Abertay’s PlayStation lab now has development kits for all PlayStation consoles, including 30 Vita dev kits, for the students to utilize at their leisure.

Every programming student at the university will learn how to develop games for the Vita handheld, and will also have access to PS4 and PS3 dev kits as part of Sony's academic development programme PlayStation First.
