Microsoft's Titanfall push sees UK Xbox One price cut, U.S. bundle
February 24, 2014 | By Mike Rose

Newsbrief: Just three months after the launch of the Xbox One, Microsoft is reducing the price of the console to coincide with the hotly anticipated Respawn Entertainment title Titanfall.

From March 11, U.S. consumers will be able to pick up an Xbox One with Titanfall for $499.99. Currently the console alone would cost you the same price at retailers -- note that Microsoft says this price is "for a limited time."

In the UK, Microsoft is taking this a step further. From February 28, the official price of the console will be lowered to 399.99 ($666), down from the current price of 429.99 ($716). Once Titanfall is released in March, UK consumers will be able to pick up the game with an Xbox One for the same price.

Microsoft is looking to show consumers that its Xbox One console is great value, especially when compared to the $399.99 price of the PlayStation 4.
