Campo Santo, the San Franisco-based indie studio that was formed late last year by veterans of Telltale Games and Klei Entertainment -- plus some guy named Olly Moss -- has announced its first project: Firewatch.

As you might expect, details on the project are scarce. Firewatch is billed as a first-person exploration game in which players take on the role of a fire lookout stationed in the hinterlands of Wyoming. The protagonist maintains radio contact with a supervisor named Delilah, but is otherwise left alone to solve a mystery.

The studio, which has staffed up since its formation by bringing on artist Jane Ng, programmer Will Armstrong, and developer/composer Chris Remo, hopes to launch the game on PC in 2015 and is investigating development on other platforms. Firewatch will be jointly published by Campo Santo and partner Panic, Inc., a Portland-based software company.
