Severed is the next game from DrinkBox Studios
April 14, 2014 | By Mike Rose

DrinkBox Studios, the Canadian developer best known for Guacamelee! and Tales from Space: Mutant Blobs Attack, announced its latest project over the weekend.

Severed, as detailed by Destructoid, is a first-person, gesture-based adventure game due for release on mobile platforms sometime in 2015. It may also release for other touch-screen devices like the Vita and the 3DS at some point, as well as motion control and VR devices.

The game has been described as a cross between Mega Man, Infinity Blade and Mike Tyson's Punch-Out. Check out the concept video above.

If you're going to release a public concept video for your new IP, at least give me an idea of what it will be like to PLAY your game. Watching this, I get none of that information.

But anyways, GUACAMELEE FTW, Drinkbox is a great little studio and I hope they have another hit with Severed.

Wow, that was one of the most exhilarating trailers I've seen. So unique, so much creative energy, with such outstanding use of music (Yamantaka // Sonic Titan). Count me in as super excited for this one.
