Llamasoft's Minter: Microsoft 'Just Sitting' On Gridrunner

Llamasoft founder Jeff Minter says that the studio is still waiting for feedback from Microsoft after sending the company a demo for its Xbox Live Arcade game Gridrunner+++ (working title) "three of four months ago."

"We sent it off to [Microsoft] months ago, but they've just not said anything -- we're just waiting for them," says Minter, according to a report from consumer site Eurogamer.

He continues, "Basically, I'm going to carry on with the PC version of it if I don't hear from them soon, because they're just sitting on the demo we sent them three or four months ago. We haven't heard a thing."

Minter previously expressed displeasure with XBLA gamers last year following disappointing sales and mixed reviews for Space Giraffe, threatening to abandon game development. He later admitted that he was only ranting off and said that he was still invested in Xbox Live Arcade.

Despite his issues with Microsoft, the veteran designer says that development is nearly complete on Gridrunner+++ for XBLA, adding, "At the moment, we're just working on Gridrunner+++, and we should have that finished in a couple of months. But we're probably just going to have a chill out over Christmas now we've got [Space Giraffe PC] out of the way."
