Newsbrief: The Xbox One will launch in Japan on September 4, 2014, Microsoft announced today, with dozens of developers onboard for the launch.

A tweet from Xbox Japan revealed the date, while Japanese games magazine Famitsu, as translated by Gematsu, says that companies like Arc System Works, Bandai Namco, Capcom, Cave, CyberConnect2, From Software, Konami, Level 5 and Sega are all in the process of developing games for the system.

Microsoft originally refused to comment specifically on the Japanese launch of the Xbox One, instead stating that the console would launch in Asia in late 2014.
