Newsbrief: MMO studio Funcom hasn't found itself in the greatest financial situation recently, with falling revenues and notable losses. Thanks to additional equity and the launch of its LEGO MMO, the company is looking to turn things around.

The company has secured 9.7 million Norwegian Krones ($1.6 million) in additional equity. This equity came from a prior agreement by which Funcom was able to access additional capital if needed via an equity fund.

As a result, Funcom will now issue 2,203,846 new shares within the next eight days, taking the company's total shares up to 79,016,792 shares.

And Funcom says this additional cash boost will help it to fully prepare for the launch of the LEGO Minifigures MMO this summer.
