Blizzard is officially bringing its games to the Philippines
today that it is expanding its long-standing partnership with distributor Asiasoft to bring its games to the Philippines.
You may remember that Blizzard entered into an agreement
with Asiasoft in 2011 to distribute the company's biggest games -- including Diablo III
, Starcraft 2
and World of Warcraft
-- in Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore.
That deal will now be expanded to the Philippines, where Asiasoft subsidiary Level Up! Inc. will handle the distribution, marketing and support of major Blizzard titles.
Blizzard also confirmed that its upcoming MOBA Heroes of the Storm
will be distributed in Southeast Asia via the Asiasoft partnership.
"We are working closely with Blizzard in preparation for the game's launch," stated Asiasoft CEO Pramoth Sudjitporn in a press release confirming the deal. "We look forward to providing Blizzard's brand of online brawler to gamers in Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia and Philippines."
Blizzard has also confirmed
that it will be distributing Heroes of the Storm
in China via its partnership with Chinese company NetEase.
