Newsbrief: Japanese mobile giant DeNA saw its earnings drop by nearly a third last fiscal year compared to previous year, although the company believes it is in "a good position to revitalize" its business over the coming year.

Consumption of the company's in-game currency was down again in the fourth quarter, while DeNA says its games over the last year saw "moderate success." Looking to the future, DeNA plans to invest in what it sees as promising areas of business, such as communication platforms.

For the fiscal year ended March 31, 2014, DeNA recorded revenues of 181.3 billion yen ($1.8 billion), down 10 percent year-over-year, and profits 31.7 billion yen ($311.7 million), down 31 percent year-over-year.
