Ubisoft Announces Grey's Anatomy Game

Ubisoft announced that it will release Grey's Anatomy: The Video Game, an adaptation of the ABC medical soap opera taking place in the fictional Seattle Grace Hospital.

Slated to appear on the Nintendo DS, Wii, and PC in early 2009, the game will offer an original storyline and will enable players to take on the roles of doctors from the television series.

In Grey's Anatomy, players will "make important personal and professional decisions, explore the direct relationships with each other, and perform ... delicate surgeries."

Having aired for five seasons now, Grey's Anatomy follows a group of doctors who discover that "neither medicine nor relationships can be defined in black and white," finding out that "real life only comes in shades of grey."

"Ubisoft is thrilled to be collaborating with ABC Studios to turn this phenomenal television series into an interactive experience," said Ubisoft's Worldwide Licensing VP Christian Salomon.

With such high female viewership it will be interesting to see if it will pay off. If it does I guess the industry can expect licenses for Lipstick Jungle and Sex and The City to follow...

When no one buys this game I hope they don't blame poor sales on piracy.

If this game is one tenth as lame as the show, it should crash and burn quickly.

Maybe it'll sorta be like the Ghostbusters game... :-D

Um... what? Seriously?

At least with the Sopranos game, the tv show had *some* action involved.

How do you make a game for Grey's? A Japanese dating sim with the show characters plugged in, interspersed with Trauma Center (DS) minigames?

Bizarre.

Nintendo Wii Fit encourages an active lifestyle even for those kids who don’t enjoy playing outdoors. This is not to claim that if you are playing Wii then you don’t need to do anything else. But exercising with a Wii board is a unique experience and is guaranteed to be like nothing else you have done before. http://www.blueunplugged.com/p.aspx?p=122588
