Facebook now accepting mobile developers into FbStart accelerator
Facebook now accepting mobile developers into FbStart accelerator
May 14, 2014 | By Alex Wawro

Newsbrief: Facebook has announced that registration for its new FbStart mobile development accelerator program is open to everyone, starting today.

The FbStart program was first revealed at Facebook's F8 developer conference in April. At the time, only attendees who met the program's criteria for inclusion were allowed to apply.

The full details of the program can be found on its website, but in brief: FbStart has two tracks, the Accelerate track and the Bootstrap track. The goal of the program is to support mobile app developers by providing select applicants with free Facebook ad credits and free access to tools and services from participating companies like Adobe, HootSuite, MailChimp and more.

Any developer with an iOS or Android app that's been publicly available for at least 30 days, including games, is eligible to apply to either track of the program via the FbStart website.
