Newsbrief: Geek & Sundry, the geek culture YouTube channel hosted by the likes of Felicia Day and Wil Wheaton, has been acquired by American movie production company Legendary Entertainment.

Day and co. will now produce shows for both television and digital platforms. Legendary president Bruce Rosenblum said that the acquisition was in aid of expanding his company's offerings "beyond traditional media platforms."

Geek & Sundry was originally started in 2012, and now has more than 1 million subscribers on YouTube. Amongst its programming, it offers video game shows. The move comes as the video game YouTuber scene continues to explode in popularity.
