Hothead Releasing Braid To Mac, The Maw To PC

Developer and publisher Hothead Games announced a new initiative to take advantage of its multi-platform development and digital distribution experience to collaborate with independent studios, migrating their titles to new platforms.
As part of its efforts, Hothead will release Number None's Braid to Mac, and secured exclusive digital publishing rights to that version. The acclaimed time-manipulating platformer was originally released to Xbox Live Arcade last August, and is slated to debut on PC on March 31st.
Hothead is also partnering with Twisted Pixel to release its Xbox Live Arcade title The Maw to PC. The 3D action-adventure game will include special features to make compatible with multiple unannounced digital distribution platforms and services.
Founded in 2006 and based in Vancouver, Canada, Hothead Games is best known for its episodic Penny Arcade Adventures RPG-adventure series, based on the popular Penny Arcade online comic strip. The company self-publishes its titles, and helped establish Greenhouse, a digital game distribution platform designed for independently developed titles.
"We focus on finding new distribution opportunities so that they can focus on what they do best: developing their next great game," says Hothead Games COO Joel DeYoung.
