Killzone 2 Lead Leaves Guerrilla For Splash Damage

Killzone 2 lead level designer Neil Alphonso has left Guerrilla Games to head up the Bethesda-published multi-platform title at Enemy Territory: Quake Wars developer Splash Damage.

Splash Damage says it's seen its development team double in the past year since it announced a partnership with Fallout 3 creators Bethesda Softworks to create this unannounced game, and the London-based studio is still seeking additional staff in art, design and programming.

Alphonso began his development career designing environments for Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell and designed levels for Duke Nukem Forever at 3D Realms before taking the helm of Guerrilla's Killzone 2 in 2007, as part of his seven-year multiplatform design background.

"The Splash Damage guys know how to build great multiplayer experiences that are a cut above most of what is available today," Alphonso says.

"Their refined approach is even more appealing to me as a Lead Level Designer, and provides an excellent base for me to push on into the frontiers of gaming."
