Naughty Dog's Uncharted 2 Wins Game Critics' E3 Best Of Show
This week, the Game Critics Awards, a group of game critics from mainstream and enthusiast publications in North America, named the PlayStation 3-exclusive Uncharted 2: Among Thieves E3 2009's Best of Show.

Developed by the Sony internal game studio Naughty Dog, Uncharted 2 beat out other E3 2009 Best of Show nominees, including Double Fine's Brutal Legend, Bioware's Mass Effect 2, Infinity Ward's Modern Warfare 2, and Ubisoft Montreal's Splinter Cell: Conviction.

In all, Uncharted 2 did the best to win over the critics, garnering three awards: Best of Show, Best Console Game, and Best Action/Adventure Game.

The only other Game Critics Award: Best of E3 2009 winner to receive multiple awards was 5th Cell's and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment's Nintendo DS action puzzler Scribblenauts, which won two awards: Best Original Game and Best Handheld Game. 5th Cell is the same developer behind the unique games Drawn To Life and Lock's Quest.

Other winners include Fight Night Round 4, Tatsunoko vs. Capcom: Ultimate All-Stars, Supreme Commander 2, and DJ Hero, among others.

Completely missing from the list of award winners was Double Fine's Brutal Legend, which alongside Uncharted 2 led with four nominations. Other snubbed games include Sony's God of War 3, BioShock 2, Halo 3: ODST, and Splinter Cell: Conviction.

Best hardware went to Microsoft's Project Natal, which was up against the PSP Go, Tony Hawk Ride Skateboard, Wii MotionPlus, and the DJ Hero Controller.
