Gamasutra's regular round-up of worldwide video game releases, "Release This!", takes a look at every game title we know to be shipping to stores this week, in an exclusively compiled list.
This week brings Batman: Arkham Asylum, Metroid Prime Trilogy, Professor Layton and the Diabolical Box, and Dissidia Final Fantasy to store shelves in North America, while Japan gets Dream Club and Soul Calibur: Broken Destiny.
The following list covers all of the game software we know to be available -- across all platforms and regions -- for the week ending August 29th, 2009.

A pair of anticipated Nintendo releases are set to hit North American store shelves this week. Nintendo Wii owners will get the Metroid Prime compilation Metroid Prime Trilogy, while the Nintendo DS will host the Professor Layton series sequel Professor Layton and the Diabolical Box.
The Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 will soon receive the superhero action title Batman: Arkham Asylum, while the PSP gets the Final Fantasy franchise fighting game Dissidia Final Fantasy.

Gamers in Europe will receive Batman: Arkham Asylum this week, along with other console titles like Brave: A Warrior's Tale and the UK-exclusive PlayStation 3 racer SuperCar Challenge.
Other titles debuting exclusively in the UK this week include the Wii billiards sim WSC Real 09: World Snooker Championship and the Nintendo DS side-scrollers Garfield Gets Real and Go! Go! Cosmo Cops!

D3 Publisher's dating sim Dream Club will debut for the Xbox 360 in Japan this week, arriving alongside a pair of console ports in 5pb's Memories Off series. The Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 will also receive localizations of F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin in the coming week.
Nintendo DS owners will see a sequel to Square Enix's horror-themed RPG Nanashi no Game this week, while the PSP gets Namco Bandai's Soul Calibur spinoff title Broken Destiny.
