Nintendo plays whack-a-mole with another patent suit, wins case
August 5, 2015 | By Christian Nutt

Nintendo has prevailed in yet another patent suit, something it does on the regular. A Texas outfit called Secure Axcess sued over the display technology in the company's Wii U console and handhelds; now, a Washington judge has sided with Nintendo on all 10 counts in the case, which was filed last year in Texas but transferred to Washington.

The original suit was filed not just against Nintendo but also 11 retailers that carried Nintendo's products.

Just last month, the company secured a victory against a Bay Area company called Quintal Research that alleged its handheld systems, including the "Game Boy Dual Screen," violated its patents.

About the only suit that the company hasn't won, of late, is one against Dutch electronics giant Philips, which was handed a victory over motion control tech.
