Gamasutra Adds New Site Features, Details Network Twitter/RSS Additions

Gamasutra has added much-requested comment editing to its industry-leading site, as it also expands user profiles and debuts Twitter feeds for the entire Gamasutra Network of sites.

The first of a number of improvements to our site, recent changes now allow users to edit their comments in features, news, or blogs, a much-requested feature.

In addition, if a user has a public Gamasutra profile, then clicking on their name in a story's comments will take the user to the profile in question.

A public history of individual user comments has also been added to Gamasutra user profiles (as shown in the case of staff member Chris Remo), so that users can keep track of their comment threads easily. (Pagination will be implemented soon for particularly frequent commenters.)

Gamasutra is committed to continuing to improve the user experience and roll out new features for our user base, so comments on other desired site features are welcome.

Elsewhere, the Gamasutra Network of sites, which includes a number of weblogs on specific game industry areas, has added Twitter feeds and formalized RSS feeds to make for easier reading.

The Gamasutra RSS feed page has a complete list of RSS feeds, but both Twitter and RSS information for our suite of sites are now as follows:

- Gamasutra (the art and biz of games) - News RSS, Features RSS, Jobs RSS; Main Twitter, Jobs Twitter.
- GameCareerGuide (for student game developers) - News RSS, Features RSS; Twitter.
- WorldsInMotion (the business of online worlds) - RSS; Twitter.
- FingerGaming (gaming on the iPhone and iPod Touch) - RSS; Twitter.
- GameSetWatch (an alt.video game weblog) - RSS; Twitter.
- IndieGames (for independent game players and developers) - RSS; Twitter.
- GamerBytes (the latest console digital download game news) - RSS; Twitter.
- Serious Games Source (games for health, training, military and other users) - RSS, Twitter.
- GamesOnDeck (all about the mobile game industry) - RSS, Twitter.

Could you as well add separate RSS Feed for each category ? i.e. one for Programming section, Art, Audio, Design & Production.
It would regroup News, Features, Blogs & Jobs belonging to a single category and greatly help us to sort stuff from our rss readers :)
