Oculus' Story Studio has a goal -- to create narrative experiences that show the potential of virtual reality. Its first effort, Henry, is your typical CG animated short -- except that it places you inside the world of the title character.
Henry was widely shown at last week's Oculus Connect event in Los Angeles, and now, Story Studio has released a "Henry trailer" on Oculus Share and a UE4 package containing code and assets for the project for VR developers to download and experiment with.
"We learned to make VR experiences in Unreal Engine 4 by looking at the Unreal community examples, and we hope this example can aid you," says the official blog post which announces the release.
"With this project, we want you to see how the sausage is made. We haven’t spent a lot of time cleaning up the assets or code so you can see a practical example of how a VR story could be made in Unreal."
You can find out more details about what's included and download the assets at the Oculus Story Studio blog post.
