Release This:  Karaoke Revolution  Hits US, Japan Gets  Layton  Sequel

Gamasutra's regular round-up of worldwide video game releases, "Release This!", takes a look at every game title we know to be shipping to stores this week, in a custom compiled list.

This week brings Karaoke Revolution and Madden NFL Arcade to North America, while Japan gets Mushihimesama Futari and Layton Kyouju to Majin no Fue.

The following list covers all of the game software we know to be available -- across all platforms and regions -- for the week ending November 28th, 2009.

North America will see considerably fewer releases in the coming week compared to last week's flood of high-profile premieres. Konami's multiplatform reboot of the Karaoke Revolution franchise will hit store shelves this week, as the PSP gets a port of Namco's one-on-one fighter Tekken 6.

Downloadable offerings include EA's Madden NFL Arcade, Tecmo's competitive puzzler Puzzlegeddon, and Gaijin Games' rhythm-based action game Bit.Trip Void.

The UK is set to receive TT Games' family-friendly band simulation title Lego Rock Band this week, along with other multiplatform offerings like Planet 51, Where the Wild Things Are, and Rogue Warrior.

Wii owners will get Capcom's rail shooter Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles and the region-exclusive releases Just Dance and Wheelspin.

The Xbox 360 hosts a port of Cave's popular arcade shooter Mushihimesama Futari Ver 1.5 in Japan this week. Notably, Cave has announced that the title is a region-free release, and will be playable on all Xbox 360 consoles worldwide.

Other games premiering in Japan this week include Level 5's Professor Layton series sequel Layton Kyouju to Majin no Fue, the manga-based Strike Witches: Aoi no Dengekisen - Shin Taichou Funtousuru!, and a PSP port of Nippon Ichi's PS2 strategy title La Pucelle.
