Release This:  The Crystal Bearers, GH: Van Halen  Premiere in U.S.

Gamasutra's regular round-up of worldwide video game releases, "Release This!", takes a look at every game title we know to be shipping to stores this week, in a custom compiled list.

This week brings Guitar Hero: Van Halen and Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Crystal Bearers to retailers in North America.

The following list covers all of the game software we know to be available -- across all platforms and regions -- for the week ending December 26th, 2009.

Activision's band simulation title Guitar Hero: Van Halen heads North America's multiplatform lineup in the week leading up to the Christmas holiday.

Wii owners will also get Square Enix's action-RPG Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Crystal Bearers, while PC gamers can look forward to Twin Sector and Supreme Ruler 2020 Global Crisis.

Games Released in Europe:

No games are scheduled for retail release in Europe this week.

PSP owners in Japan can expect to see a new entry in Taito's Darius shooter series this week, along with Metal Slug XX, an upgraded port of the formerly Nintendo DS-exclusive Metal Slug 7.

The PlayStation 2 is set to receive an edited version of the PC adventure title Little Busters!, while the Nintendo DS gets Zelda no Densetsu: Taiyou no Kiteki (The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks) and Gust's Lina no Atelier: Strahl no Renkinjutsushi.
