Indie advocate Shahid Ahmad joins UK publisher Double Eleven

February 18, 2016 | By Chris Kerr

Newsbrief: Sony Computer Entertainment Europe's former head of strategic content, Shahid Ahmad, has joined the advisory board of UK-based "indie-friendly" developer and publisher, Double Eleven.

Before leaving Sony late last year Ahmad built a reputation as one of the company's biggest indie advocates, helping bring numerous indie titles, including No Man's Sky, OlliOlli, Nuclear Throne, and Volume, to the PlayStation Vita and PlayStation 4.

Ahmad left Sony to re-enter the world of game development, and will now oversee the expansion of Double Eleven, the publisher behind well-received games such as Goat Simulator, Prison Architect, LIMBO, PixelJunk Eden, and Nom Nom Galaxy.
