Most-Requested 2009 Trade-In Games Topped By Left 4 Dead

Valve's Left 4 Dead was the most-requested game amongst users of game- and movie-trading site Goozex last year, the proprietors announced today, followed by Fallout 3 and Killzone 2.

Goozex arrived at its figures by calculating the games most frequently added to its users request queues throughout calendar 2009, determining them both on per-system and combined bases.

Following Killzone 2 was another PlayStation 3 exclusive, Infamous. Xbox 360 had two exclusives on the list: Fable II at number six, and Gears of War 2 at number eight.

The ninth- and tenth-place entries -- Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare and Batman: Arkham Asylum, respectively -- were impressive because of their length of time on the market: Call of Duty 4 had already been out for over a year before 2009 even began, while Arkham Asylum hit store shelves much later than the rest of the titles on the list, most of which had been released in 2008.

On a per-platform basis, Xbox 360 two most-wanted games mirrored the overall lists; PlayStation 3's top two were its two exclusives from the top ten; Wii's were MadWorld and Punch-Out!!; and PC's were Fallout 3 and The Sims 3.

Impressively, every one of the Wii's top ten games were exclusive to that platform, compared to eight on the PlayStation 3's list and only three on Xbox 360. However, none of the Wii's top games placed on the overall list.
