Newsbrief: Forge, Inc., the San Francisco-based startup behind the eponymous gameplay capture service, Forge, has raised $4.5 million in seed financing. 

Forge is the brainchild of Jared Kim, the founder of social gaming discovery outfit WeGame, and lets PC players record, store, and share HD gameplay clips in-game. 

Leading investors True Ventures previously helped finance WeGame, and claim to be impressed by Forge's potential. 

Kim himself has indicated that Forge will look to expand by targeting the world of eSports, explaining that "gaming and eSports are powered by video clips shared online, and that's where Forge really shines."
