Report: Platinum Games president Tatsuya Minami has stepped down
Report: Platinum Games president Tatsuya Minami has stepped down
April 21, 2016 | By Chris Kerr

Platinum Games president and CEO, Tatsuya Minami, has reportedly resigned, and is set to be succeeded by the studio’s chief administrator, Kenichi Sato.

The news was broken by Japanese website GamesBusiness.JP earlier today, although Minami’s departure has yet to be confirmed by Platinum.

According to the report, Minami stepped down in March, although it's unclear whether he remains at the studio in some capacity.

Since founding Platinum with a group of former Capcom employees, Minami has seen the developer create a number of well received titles including Bayonetta, Vanquish, and The Wonderful 101

Platinum’s latest release, Star Fox Zero, was developed in conjunction with Nintendo and hit shelves this week.

The studio will celebrate its 10th anniversary in August this year.
