Hansoft, Crytek Partner For Project Management Software

German Crysis developer Crytek has enlisted Uppsala, Sweden-based Hansoft to provide project management tools used for agile development, Hansoft said on Monday.

Hansoft, which recently released Hansoft 6.0, describes its product as an "integrated solution for agile and lean development."

Crytek producer Sebastian Nell said the adoption of Hansoft helps "reduce overhead for each team member," so the studio can focus more on quality and innovation. Hansoft's product includes integrated project management and a defect tracking solution, which the company claims streamlines the development process.

Other Hansoft customers include Curve Studios, Epic Games China, 2K Games, BioWare, Harmonix, Ubisoft, CCP, IO Interactive, and others. Hansoft is also a supplier for Swedish Space Corporation and aerospace company Jenoptik.

Hansoft 5.3 was also a finalist for Game Developer magazine's annual Frontline Awards in the Programming/Production Tools category.
