Japanese Charts: Four New Titles Debut In Top 10

Four new games arrived in Media Create's top 10 weekly sales rankings, including Spike's action game Kenka Bancho 4: Ichinen Sensou and Namco Bandai's Super Robot Taisen OG: Saga Endless Frontier Exceed.

The PSP action game Kenka Bancho 4: Ichinen Sensou debuted at the top spot, selling 72,000 units for the week ended February 28, Media Create said Thursday. The game took the lead from Capcom's Resident Evil 5: Gold Edition for PlayStation 3, which dropped from number one to three, selling 48,000 units this week.

Also new on the list at number two is Namco Bandai's DS RPG Super Robot Taisen OG: Saga Endless Frontier Exceed, which sold 65,000 units. Other new titles include Sony's Hot Shots Tennis Portable for PSP, which sold 45,000 units, and Spike's Shiren the Wanderer 4: Kami no Hitomi to Akuma no Heso for DS, which sold 41,000 units.

The game with the highest life-to-date sales is continual chart-maker New Super Mario Bros. Wii from Nintendo. The title, released in early December in Japan, sold 46,000 units, bringing lifetime sales to over 3.4 million units.

Titles falling off of the chart from last week were Sony and Quantic Dream's Heavy Rain, Konami's Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D’s World Championship 2010: Reverse of Arcadia, Square Enix's Star Ocean 4: The Last Hope – International, and Nintendo's Wii Sports Resort.
