IndieCade 2010 Calls For Submissions

The Los Angeles-based independent gaming celebration IndieCade has issued a call for submissions for its 2010 event, which includes an exhibition, workshops and awards ceremony.

IndieCade will be held across multiple venues across downtown Culver City in California from October 8-10 this year. Game submissions are due June 1 at midnight, PST. The festival program is open to the paying public, said organizers.

The event is looking for independently-created "interactive media of all types," including shooters, serious, abstract, art and mobile games, to name just a few categories. Work-in-progress games are also welcome for submission.

IndieCade will again hold an awards show this year, with winners selected by "a diverse jury of industry leaders." All entries are eligible to show at related IndieCade events, including one held at E3 in June and UK-based IndieCade Europe, taking place at GameCity in October.

Participants that submit their game before May 1 can sign up for IndieCade for a discounted rate, while submissions received from May 2 to June 1 cost the standard fee. Rates and further information can be found at IndieCade's official website.
