Heads up, devs: Yoyo Games is doing another GameMaker Humble Bundle

Heads up, devs: Yoyo Games is doing another GameMaker Humble Bundle

September 6, 2016 | By Alex Wawro

The folks at Humble Bundle and Yoyo Games have teamed up once again to offer it (and some extras) in a pay-what-you-want bundle.

The latest GameMaker Humble Bundle is neat for the same reason last year's GameMaker Humble Bundle was: (relatively) cheap access to dev tools and source code for released games.

In addition to a copy of GameMaker: Pro and (if you're willing to pay extra) modules to make games for HTML5, Android, Windows UWP and iOS, Yoyo Games has also worked with devs to include copies of GameMaker games in the bundle, replete with source code.

That means that devs who want to pull apart games like Cook, Serve Delicious! to see how they work can pay for the chance to do so, potentially sharpening their own game-making skills in the process.

For further insight into how to get started making games with GameMaker, consider checking out the series of tutorial videos published last year by Gunpoint and Heat Signature developer Tom Francis' on how to "Make A Game With No Experience."
