Riot Games Chooses Hansoft Tools

League of Legends developer Riot Games is using Hansoft's self-titled project management tools for its agile development pipeline, the companies announced today.

Hansoft, currently in version 6.0, describes its product as an "integrated solution for agile and lean development," and says Riot chose its product after evaluating other similar ones.

"We were searching for a project management tool that is user friendly and flexible enough to handle agile development and pipeline workflows, while providing the depth of reporting we need at Riot Games, to give us insight into progress from a detailed project and high-level program view," says Riot development director Mark Franz.

Hansoft features pipeline and workflow editors with reporting tools, bug trackers and workload management interfaces. It's designed to help developers manage projects and keep on time.

"I look forward to an ongoing relationship with Riot Games and hope to be able to support them shipping many high quality games in the future," says Hansoft CEO Patric Palm.

do we care what software they use. I sure don't, as long as they make good game.

Yes this is gamasutra, we care about what software they use. There's a thousand other sites to care about whether they make good games or not.

However this straight up reposting of press-releases as "news item" is pretty much dumb free advertising.

This really looks much more like a free ad than a news item. And, seeing related news, it's not even the first time. At least tell us about the current competition and how this one's better.
