Qualitative or quantitative? that is the question,
Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer, The probes and narrows of outrageous design, Or to take motion against a Wii of troubles, And by opposing end them? To pay: to game; No more; and by a game to say we end, The heart-ache and the thousand disappointments, That Flash is heir to, 'tis a consummation Devoutly to be wish'd. To pay, to game; To game: perchance to dream: ay, there's the nub; For in that game of EEG what dreams may come .. - Might be interesting to measure your REM while sleeping.? I suppose most of the "content" that exists in our brains is stored there chemically as sound -> language, images -> context and the trick is how the plumbing can describe or trigger the sewage; where blinking is akin to flushing the toilet. Have been reading about acoustics & physiology lately and there are some pretty weird connections in the brain such as how your early vocabulary and understanding of vocal patterns actually influences what you hear and how the ear attenuates itself to sounds in later life. Perhaps these brain connections are important in lieu of being able to "translate" actual thoughts and intent. -- Chuan |
