Might be interesting to measure your REM while sleeping.? I suppose most of the "content" that exists in our brains is stored there chemically as sound -> language, images -> context and the trick is how the plumbing can describe or trigger the sewage; where blinking is akin to flushing the toilet.



Have been reading about acoustics & physiology lately and there are some pretty weird connections in the brain such as how your early vocabulary and understanding of vocal patterns actually influences what you hear and how the ear attenuates itself to sounds in later life. Perhaps these brain connections are important in lieu of being able to "translate" actual thoughts and intent.
