Release This:  Limbo, Alien Swarm  Arrive Stateside

Gamasutra's regular round-up of worldwide video game releases, "Release This!", takes a look at every game title we know to be shipping to stores this week, in a custom compiled list.

This week brings Limbo for XBLA and Alien Swarm for PC to North America, as the UK gets Square Enix's Dragon Quest IX.

The following list covers all of the game software we know to be available -- across all platforms and regions -- for the week ending July 24th, 2010.

Games Released in the United States:

Nintendo DS:
- Cats & Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore
- Hidden Objects: Mystery Stories
- Samantha Swift and the Hidden Roses of Athena

- Mumbo Jumbo 6 Pack 2nd Edition
- Need for Speed World (online)

Playdead's downloadable Xbox 360 platformer Limbo and Valve's third-person shooter Alien Swarm headline an otherwise uneventful week in North American releases.

- Cats & Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore
- Dragon Quest IX: Sentinels of The Starry Skies

Square Enix's hit RPG Dragon Quest IX: Sentinels of The Starry Skies gets a UK release this week, arriving alongside 505's Cats & Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore on the Nintendo DS.

- N3II: Ninety-Nine Nights

PlayStation Portable:
- Fate/Extra
- Trick x Logic: Season 1

Bizarre Creations' Blur makes its way to Japan this week as Blur Racerz, the PSP gets Marvelous's awaited action-RPG Fate/Extra, and the DS receives a new entry in Taito's long-running Densha de Go! series.
