Trials HD Developer Announces Its First WiiWare Title: Motoheroz

RedLynx, the Finland-based studio behind the hit Xblox Live Arcade game Trials HD, announced Motoheroz for Nintendo's WiiWare service.

Motoheroz is a physics based, side-scrolling racer, in the same vein as the company's Trials series. The game features a single player adventure, local multiplayer, and online leaderboards.

The game also features daily challenges, for which certain tracks and leaderboards are opened and closed via online updates.

Redlynx has produced games across a wide range of platforms, from the PC to the iPhone, and Motoheroz, expected to launch by early 2011, marks the company's first game on Nintendo's downloadable games service.

"With this game, we are taking our expertise in downloadable content, addictive gameplay, and the racing genre, and adapting it to the strengths of the Wii," said RedLynx creative director Antti Ilvessuo.

RedLynx focuses on creating digitally distributed titles, and in 2009 sold over 1.5 million units of its previous releases, primarily through online distribution services.
