At Microsoft’s E3 press conference today, Crytek announced the Xbox 360 exclusive Ryse, a Kinect-enabled action title based the Roman Empire.

The game’s debut trailer emphasizes first-person melee combat, and depicts players slashing, head-butting, and kicking virtual opponents via the Xbox Kinect. Ryse will be published by Microsoft Studios, and more information regarding its release date has yet to be announced.

At the 2010 Microsoft Press Conference, Crytek showcased a short teaser trailer for the game, which was known at the time as Codename: Kingdoms.

Ryse began development at Crytek's studio in Budapest, but the company moved its development over to Frankfurt, Germany two months ago when the it laid off a number of workers the Budapest studio.

"The game’s debut trailer emphasizes first-person melee combat, and depicts players slashing, head-butting, and kicking virtual opponents via the Xbox Kinect"

So if the game gets realy busy it'll look like someone slam dancing? Swinging arms, head banging and thowing out kicks. lol yep that sounds like slamming to me.

"slashing, head-butting, and kicking virtual opponents via the Xbox Kinect." It also kinda sounds like if it were to have a split screen coop mode it may get dangerous if the room is too small. News flash two teens were killed today while playing the video game Ryse using the kinect add on for the xbox 360. The room played in was reported to be only 6'x8' ;)

As for my serious comment,

This "to me" is by far the most intresting sounding game that i've read about for kinect so far.
