Bit.Trip Saga Receiving Wii Retail Release
Bit.Trip Saga Receiving Wii Retail Release
June 10, 2011 | By Mike Rose

Gaijin Games, developer behind the Bit.Trip rhythm series, has revealed that a retail version of its well-received WiiWare series is due for release later this year on Nintendo Wii.

Bit.Trip Saga, already announced earlier this year for Nintendo 3DS, is also coming to Nintendo Wii, and will contain special features that neither the 3DS version or the WiiWare versions have.

The developer told Nintendo World Report that the upcoming Aksys Games-published Wii retail version will include the six original Bit.Trip games, along with special art and sound galleries and commentary from creator Alex Neuse for each title.

There will also be new difficulty levels available, and a set of 120 new challenge levels -- 20 for each game -- that will be incredibly difficult to master.

Both the 3DS and Wii versions of Bit.Trip Saga are set to be released simultaneously later this year.

Recently, Bit.Trip Runner received an award for Excellence in Visual Art at the 2011 Independent Games Festival Awards at this year's GDC, and Bit.Trip Beat secured a nomination for Excellence in Audio.
