Gamasutra's weekly column, "Saling The World", covers the top five sellers for every available platform in the United States, Japan, and Europe, providing an important update of sales patterns worldwide.

This week's charts, with data taken from June 23rd, 2011, find The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D leading cross-platform sales in the U.S. and Japan, as Zumba Fitness keeps its lead in the UK.

Data for "Saling The World" comes courtesy of the public sales information on Amazon.com, Amazon.co.uk, and Amazon.co.jp, with sales split out for each platform and territory, and pre-orders disregarded. This results in a true sense of what games are selling worldwide on the real-time updated service, as follows:

Multiplatform
North America: 1. The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D (Nintendo, 3DS), 2. L.A. Noire (Rockstar, PS3), 3. L.A. Noire (Rockstar, X360), 4. BioShock 2 (2K Games, PS3), 5. Just Dance 2 (Ubisoft, Wii).

Japan: 1. Zelda no Densetsu: Toki no Ocarina 3D (Nintendo, 3DS), 2. Steins;Gate (Kadokawa Shoten, PSP), 3. Steins;Gate - Limited Edition (Kadokawa Shoten, PSP), 4. Meruru no Atelier (Gust, PS3), 5. Tennis no Oji-Sama Gyutto! Dokidoki Survival Umi to Yama no Love Passion (Konami, DS).

UK: 1. Zumba Fitness (505 Games, Wii), 2. L.A. Noire (Rockstar, X360), 3. The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D (Nintendo, 3DS), 4. Wii Fit Plus with Balance Board (Nintendo, Wii), 5. L.A. Noire (Rockstar, PS3).

Nintendo's 3DS remake of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time finishes as the biggest-selling title across all platforms in North America and Japan, while Zumba Fitness retains the top spot in the UK.

A PSP port of 5pb's visual novel Steins;Gate racks up impressive sales in its premiere week in Japan, meanwhile, as Rockstar's L.A. Noire maintains top sales in both the United States and the UK.


Nintendo Wii
North America: 1. Just Dance 2 (Ubisoft), 2. Zumba Fitness (Majesco), 3. Mario Kart Wii (Nintendo), 4. Wii Fit Plus with Balance Board (Nintendo), 5. Lego Pirates of the Caribbean (Disney).

Japan: 1. Wii Fit Plus with Balance Board (Nintendo), 2. Billy's Boot Camp: Wii de Enjoy Diet! (Rocket Company), 3. Mario Kart Wii (Nintendo), 4. Wii Party (Nintendo), 5. Fitness Party (Namco Bandai).

UK: 1. Zumba Fitness (505 Games), 2. Wii Fit Plus with Balance Board (Nintendo), 3. Just Dance 2 (Ubisoft), 4. Lego Pirates of the Caribbean (Disney), 5. Michael Jackson: The Experience (Ubisoft).

Just Dance 2 claims a rare victory over Zumba Fitness in the U.S. Wii charts this week, while Wii Fit Plus and Billy's Boot Camp remain the platform's biggest sellers in Japan.


Xbox 360
North America: 1. L.A. Noire (Rockstar), 2. Call of Duty: Black Ops (Activision), 3. Halo Reach (Microsoft), 4. Kinect Sports (Microsoft), 5. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (Activision).

Japan: 1. Steins;Gate: Hiyoku Renri no Darling (5pb), 2. Steins;Gate: Hiyoku Renri no Darling - Limited Edition (5pb), 3. Steins;Gate (5pb), 4. Steins;Gate Double Pack (5pb), 5. Dance Central (Microsoft).

UK: 1. L.A. Noire (Rockstar), 2. FIFA 11 (EA Sports), 3. Call of Duty: Black Ops (Activision), 4. Red Dead Redemption (Rockstar), 5. Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood (Ubisoft).

Kinect Sports competes with reigning chart leaders L.A. Noire and Call of Duty: Black Ops in North America, while 5pb's Steins;Gate sequel continues to do brisk business in Japan.


PlayStation 3
North America: 1. L.A. Noire (Rockstar), 2. BioShock 2 (2K Games), 3. Mortal Kombat (Warner Bros), 4. inFamous 2 (SCEA), 5. Call of Duty: Black Ops (Activision).

Japan: 1. Meruru no Atelier (Gust), 2. Meruru no Atelier - Limited Edition (Gust), 3. Totori no Atelier (Gust), 4. Demon's Souls (SCEI), 5. Rorona no Atelier (Gust).

UK: 1. L.A. Noire (Rockstar), 2. inFamous 2 (SCEE), 3. Call of Duty: Black Ops (Activision), 4. DiRT 3 (Codemasters), 5. Red Dead Redemption (Rockstar).

inFamous 2 maintains a top five presence in North America and Europe, as Gust's Atelier series sweeps the Japanese charts following the recent debut of Meruru no Atelier.

North America: 1. Magicka (Paradox), 2. Starcraft II: Wings of Liberty (Blizzard), 3. The Sims 3: Generations (EA Games), 4. World of Warcraft: Cataclysm (Blizzard), 5. Portal 2 (Valve).

Japan: 1. Rewrite (Key), 2. Steins;Gate (Nitro Plus), 3. Alice in Nightmare (EA Games), 4. Monster Hunter Frontier Online Anniversary 2010 (Capcom), 5. Monster Hunter Frontier Online Forward.1 Premium Package (Capcom).

UK: 1. The Sims 3: Generations (EA Games), 2. The Sims 3 (EA Games), 3. The Sims 3: Late Night (EA Games), 4. Starcraft II: Wings of Liberty (Blizzard), 5. The Witcher 2 - Premium Edition (Namco Bandai).

A price-dropped downloadable version of Magicka leads the U.S. PC charts at Amazon this week, as The Sims 3: Generations again claims top honors in the UK.

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D dominates Nintendo 3DS platform sales across all three territories, fending off competition from top sellers Biohazard: The Mercenaries 3D and Pilotwings Resort.

North America: 1. New Super Mario Bros. (Nintendo), 2. Scribblenauts (Warner Bros), 3. Pokemon White Version (Nintendo), 4. Sonic Classic Collection (Sega), 5. Pokemon Black Version (Nintendo).

Japan: 1. Tennis no Oji-Sama Gyutto! Dokidoki Survival Umi to Yama no Love Passion (Konami), 2. Pocket Monsters Black (Nintendo), 3. Pocket Monsters White (Nintendo), 4. Dragon Quest Monsters Joker 2: Professional (Square Enix), 5. Love Plus+ (Konami).

UK: 1. Art Academy (Nintendo), 2. Let's Draw! (Majesco), 3. Pokemon White Version (Nintendo), 4. New Super Mario Bros. (Nintendo), 5. Lego Pirates of the Caribbean (Disney).

New Super Mario Bros. keeps the top DS chart spot stateside, as Konami's manga-based Tennis no Oji-Sama Gyutto! Dokidoki Survival Umi to Yama no Love Passion leads in its debut week in Japan.

A portable version of Steins;Gate heads PSP software sales this week in Japan, pushing former chart leader Danbouru Senki and the recently released Gundam Memories to third and fourth place in the regional results.
