This week's update to the PlayStation Portable's Digital Comics Store will be the last, according to Sony.

In a recent post on the PlayStation Blog, PlayStation Store director Grace Chen said that while the PSP will not be receiving new content to the store, the service will continue in another form.

"This week will be the final update for digital comics on the PSP. The Digital Comics Team will continue to work on bringing the comic service to other Sony devices," wrote Chen.

What those "other Sony devices" may be is not clear, and even the Digital Comics team doesn't seem to know, as evidenced by this Twitter post.

Sony's PlayStation Digital Comics service currently houses over 4,000 titles from publishers that include Marvel, DC, IDW, Tokyopop, 2000AD and more. The service is PlayStation-branded and currently exclusive to the PSP.
