At San Diego Comic-Con today, Microsoft unveiled a new, Star Wars-branded Xbox 360 bundle including a special edition gold controller, white Kinect camera and a copy of Kinect Star Wars.
The $449.99 bundle, set to release this holiday season, will also include a 320 GB hard drive, wired headset, and a copy of Kinect Adventures, as well as unspecified "exclusive downloadable content."
The Xbox 360 hardware in the bundle is patterned after Star Wars' R2D2, complete with an robotic case design and custom droid-like power-on and tray eject sounds. The included gold controller is patterned after C3PO, with faux exposed wiring on the underside.
At Comic-Con, Microsoft also demonstrated a new podracing mode for the Kinect Star Wars title.
A live demonstration of Kinect Star Wars was a centerpiece of Microsoft's unveiling of the 3D depth-sensing hardware at E3 2010. A playable demo showing off lightsaber-wielding and force powers was shown at this year's E3.
OMG! SHINY GOLD CONTROLLER! R2D2 BEEPS ON TRAY EJECT!
...yeah, I'm a goner...
I already spent $400 on 360 hardware, thats too much for what i got.
If it was $300 for this version i'd think of getting a newer 360 but at 450.. they can keep it. Cough ripoff!
$450 maybe if lucas, kenny baker and anthony daniels autographed it.
And just because no one else has done it.....The force is strong with this one. :)
