Exent's GameTanium To Support Android-To-TV Play

September 9, 2011 | By Mike Rose

Games on demand company Exent has revealed that its upcoming GameTanium service will support mobile Android to television capabilities, allowing users to play their Android games on a television.

GameTanium on the Vestel Smart Box, due to be released soon, will represent the first time Android games will be playable on a TV, with Android titles optimized for the interface.

The service will be available as a monthly subscription, with users able to download as much content as they like for their phone, PC, tablet or TV.

Zvi Levgoren, CEO at Exent, explained, "Exents vision is to provide consumers with the greatest gaming experience, anywhere they wish to be entertained."

"Expanding our Built with GameTanium offering from PCs, smartphones and tablets to the next generation of TV set-top boxes is an important milestone in fulfilling our play anywhere vision."

"Vestel is a great partner and we look forward to working with them to bring the greatest Android mobile hits to the living room while assuring the best user entertainment experience."

Earlier this year, Exent revealed its GameTanium service, which the company said it hopes will create added value for both developers and carriers alike.
