Shortlist, Jury For GameCity Prize 2011 Announced

Organizers of the Nottingham, UK-based GameCity festival have revealed the first ever GameCity Prize, which aims to highlight the very best in interactive entertainment.
A shortlist of seven titles from the past year are in the running to win the award at the end of the GameCity festival on October 29.
Judges on the panel for the award include the likes of Jude Kelly OBE, artistic director of the Southbank, Labour MP Tom Watson, David Rowntree, best known as the drummer from contemporary rock band Blur, and the British punk band You Me At Six.
GameCity director Iain Simons explained, "Video games are a £3 billion a year industry, offering a richly diverse set of experiences to an increasingly diverse group of people."
"The GameCity Prize seeks to celebrate, explore and include video games as an important part of the mainstream cultural conversation. It seems like everybody’s playing, it’s time to get everybody talking."

Superbrothers: Sword and Sworcery EP (Superbrothers)
Pokemon Black (Game Freak)
Portal 2 (Valve)
Child of Eden (Q? Entertainment)
Limbo (Playdead)
