Silicon Studio's Orochi Game Engine Updated With PS Vita Support
Silicon Studio's Orochi Game Engine Updated With PS Vita Support
November 30, 2011 | By Mike Rose

3D Dot Game Heroes developer and middleware provider Silicon Studio today announced that its Orochi game engine has been updated with PlayStation Vita support.

The Japanese-language engine provides developers with the tools to port their Windows-based games over to PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 smoothly.

It also provides over forty development tools, with twelve libraries that range from graphics and physics to AI.

As reported by Andriasang, the engine now supports tools for porting games over to the PlayStation Vita, which is due to launch in Japan next month.

The engine also allows for quick multi-platform development for those developers looking to release games for both PlayStation 3 and PS Vita.

Sony revealed the European PlayStation Vita software launch line-up earlier this month, although it is yet to divulge its software plans for the U.S. launch.
