Newsbrief: Social and mobile gaming giant DeNA has established a new subsidiary in Canada with the aim to bolster its first-party social game development for the global market.

DeNA Studios Canada, based in Vancouver, will open its doors later this month and is headed by Irfan Virk, the current CEO of DeNA subsidiary Gameview Studios. DeNA is planning to raise CAD$600,000 ($602,000) for the subsidiary's initial capitalization.

DeNA said in a statement that it believes the new subsidiary will help the company optimize its cross-border mobile social game development capabilities.
