Viximo assists game distribution for the avatar-based Gaia Online

Viximo, the distribution company that helps developers bring their games to new social platforms, has signed a deal with major social networking company Gaia Interactive to expand Gaia's game catalog and bring its internally-developed titles to other sites.

In particular, Viximo will help Gaia bring its popular social game Monster Galaxy to the numerous other social sites in its network. In addition, Viximo will add a number of other popular social games to the avatar-based Gaia Online platform.

This new deal will not only help Gaia Interactive push its content beyond its own networks, it will also make Gaia Online a more robust hub for externally-developed games. Currently, Gaia Online features third party apps including Kixeye's Backyard Monsters and 6waves Lolapps's Resort World.

Gaia Online is one of the most popular teen-focused social networks, boasting more than 23 million registered users overall. With the new partnership, Gaia will push Viximo's global player base past 170 million users.

"We are thrilled to work with Gaia Interactive," said Viximo CEO Dale Strang. "Gaia Online gets a selection of top quality, high monetizing social games, and our developer partners in turn receive access to a highly-engaged base of game players. What's more, Gaia Interactive gets a new expanded audience for its top game Monster Galaxy."

In addition to its gaming platform, Gaia Online hosts a series of forums where users can take part in community events, earn virtual items for their avatar, and more.

Last year, Viximo added additional partners to its network, including Germany's Lokalisten and Google's Orkut.
