U.S. Console Sales Chart – April 2005

Xbox games have dominated the U.S. console charts during April, in a relatively quiet period of releases. The port of PC hit Doom 3 has proved a huge success, with the Xbox versions of Midnight Club 3, Splinter Cell 3 and Lego Star Wars also performing well.

Format exclusive Jade Empire did not quite live up to sales expectations, with a nevertheless creditable entry at number eight in the charts. From the previous month God of War has increased its standing in the charts, at the expense of Gran Turismo 4 which has ended its two-month rule at the top by falling to number eleven.

The highest ranked PSP title is Need for Speed: Underground Rivals at number thirteen, with Twisted Metal: Head On at number fifteen and Untold Legends: Brotherhood of the Blade at number seventeen. The highest ranked Game Boy Advance title is Lego Star Wars at number fourteen – with no GameCube or Nintendo DS titles listed in the top twenty.
