Serious Games Summit Warns On Registration Deadline

The Serious Games Summit DC 2005, a conference to be held this October in Washington D.C. which focuses on games created for training, health, government, military, educational and other use, has announced that today, September 21, is the final day for early conference registration.

The conference, which has added a keynote in which researcher and neuroscientist David Warner will discuss the complex relationship between humans and computers, will be held from October 31st to November 1st, in Washington, D.C., at the Crystal Gateway Marriott.

"David Warner's research will undoubtedly change the way we approach serious games development," Ben Sawyer, content chair of the Serious Games Summit D.C., said. "The keynote will underscore the importance of understanding how the mind absorbs information in order to create effective game applications."

In addition to the keynotes, the SGSDC 2005 now has 65 other panels lined up on various tracks. The conference Attendees can register via the conference website before midnight PST to take advantage of reduced early registration pricing.

[The Serious Games Summit is produced by CMP Game Group, which also runs Game Developers Conference, as well as GDC Europe, Game Developer magazine and Gamasutra.com.]
