Montreal-based Quazal, makers of the Net-Z and Rendez-Vous online multiplayer middleware technologies, have announced that its networking middleware, Quazal Net-Z and Quazal Rendez-Vous, will be available for Microsoft's forthcoming Xbox 360 next-gen console.

According to the company, which recently announced new hires and funding and provided multiplayer technology for Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory over the current Xbox Live, Quazal Net-Z networking middleware for Xbox 360 is now available to interested Xbox 360 developers, and lobby service Quazal Rendez-Vous will be available later this year for Live titles on Xbox 360 as hosted services with guaranteed uptime.

Tracey Frankcom, program manager, Xbox Tools and Middleware, commented: "We are delighted to have Quazal on board for Xbox 360 to ensure that game developers producing online titles for the platform will be able to depend on Quazal’s award-winning products."
