Insomniac Again Named Among 50 Best Places To Work

Resistance: Fall of Man and Ratchet & Clank developers Insomniac Games was named by The Society for Human Resource Management one of "the 50 Best Small and Medium Sized Companies to Work For in America" at its 58th Annual Conference and Exposition today in Washington, D.C.

This is the second time in a row that Insomniac Games has received the distinction and the third year for the awards, which are presented to companies with between 50 and 999 employees. The judging was primarily based on a randomly-distributed employee opinion survey that measured several categories including workplace environment, management’s responsiveness to employee feedback, and adherence to company philosophy.

Each company evaluated was then given a score based on employees’ questionnaire responses. In addition, further assessments of company programs, practices and workplace culture were also factored.

Insomniac Games is the only video game company to have ever received the award and was rated fourth overall in the "small companies" category.

Ted Price, Insomniac founder and president had this to say, "For the second year in a row we’re honored to be included as one of the top five Best Small Companies to Work for in America. This award is especially meaningful to us as we continue to wrestle with the challenges of next-generation videogame development while maintaining the same collaborative approach we’ve held as a core ideal for the last 12 years. It also reflects the fact that what we hold most important at Insomniac Games are the people on our team and the suggestions everyone makes as we continue to improve our games, our processes and our culture."
