With all the major releases accounted for in November, it is unsurprising to find the U.S. PC chart for December almost static – a situation likely to be repeated in January.

Previous number two Age of Empires III has swapped places with Infinity Ward’s Call of Duty 2 for the top spot, but outside of this, the most significant movement is the entry of The Movies into the top ten, after a disappointing debut last month.

With positive world of mouth and press coverage such as the Sundance movie competition and the French Democracy machinima, the Lionhead-developed, Activision-published game is likely to remain a strong seller in the less turbulent PC market.
