Kajaani, Finland – June 29th , 2012 - Studio OnMars
has launched a groundbreaking free-to-play game called Critical
Strike Portable (a.k.a. CS Portable) for Android. Critical Strike
Portable is a cross-platform first-person shooter MMO where players
can compete equally with each other between mobile platforms and on
the web. The game’s touch controls are designed to be
smooth and responsive to ensure that all the players can enjoy an
equally fulfilling gaming experience on all platforms.
Critical Strike Portable was originally a project started by our
young developer who wanted to pay tribute to the legendary Counter
Strike v.1.6 by building a similar game from scratch. When we put
the first version online, it became a viral success among fans
around the world. As the number of daily users grew over 30,000, we
decided to expand the project a little further.
The game is currently available free-to-play on
Kongregate’s game portal (played over 2.6 million times) and
for Android on Google Play Store. Critical Strike Portable’s
iOS version is coming out soon.
