SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Nov. 14, 2012 –
Like a dormant dragon erupting to life,
DK Online has been unleashed by
Aeria Games, a leading global publisher of
free-to-play online games. The fantasy massively multiplayer online
role-playing game (MMORPG) has entered closed beta testing, to the
delight of eager fans signed up for the game.
DK Online throws players into the medieval world of Litos
to combat the reemergence of the malevolent ancient dragon,
Kharvag. The dread dragon was once defeated by legendary heroes
known as the Dragon Knights. Players are tasked with reestablishing
this order and putting an end to the terror and chaos being sown
through the world by Kharvag and his minions.
Players can also engage in the heavy player vs. player (PvP)
component of
DK Online. Each class, be it Warrior, Paladin, Sorceress,
or Shadowmage, plays distinctively and provides unique benefits to
groups participating in large-scale PvP modes. A trailer for one
such mode, Castle Siege, has been released to commemorate the
launch of closed beta. Castle Siege pits several guilds against
each other in a winner-take-all battle over castle ownership. The
prevailing guild reaps the rewards of taxes levied on all vendors
and monster kills in the surrounding area.
Aeria Games is running an avalanche of special events throughout
the closed beta period. Along with rewards for the first players to
reach certain level milestones, there will be daily events held by
game masters and exciting battle events to foster combat with
specially spawned monsters as well as other players.
DK Online is free to download, and like all Aeria Games
titles, is free-to-play. Players can download the client and play
beta right now at
http://dkonline.aeriagames.com. Fans are also
encouraged to check out the
Facebook page for many
events, giveaways, and updates.
